We are headed back here on Thursday, third weekend in a row. Even on busy weekends, still get peace and quiet with a more sophisticated crowd (no shouting, loud music or disruptive behavior). And if you wear a bathing suit, or anything, you will be the one that will feel out of place. Not a hot spring, but who needs it in this hot weather, just cold, refreshing and clean water with as much exposuby mojave - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
The centennial state. Aside from the Pacific Coast, the only other place I have enjoyed living at. A bit inconvenient as you need to adjust all your recipes due to altitude and breathe a bit harder but I appreciate less population density. Would rather have it saturated with wildlife rather than people. I've read up on the site enough to consider a visit if we can secure an adequate vehicle. Find the history behind Lizard Lee (Greenwell) interesting, including the tid bit about the rangers giving him volunteer status and a 4x4 confiscated from a drug bust. Intriguing on what he survives on out there.by mojave - California Hot Springs
I wonder if they took the north or south pass in. Interesting.by mojave - California Hot Springs
What type of vehicle do you have? Heard some of the rocks are sharp enough to slice through street tires. However also read some making it with a 2wd Honda Civic.by mojave - California Hot Springs
