...A MAJOR STORM WILL BRING STRONG AND POSSIBLY DAMAGING WINDS TO
PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST CALIFORNIA...

.A STRONG STORM SYSTEM WILL AFFECT MUCH OF SOUTHWEST CALIFORNIA WITH
STRONG AND POSSIBLY DAMAGING WINDS THROUGH TUESDAY. THE MOUNTAINS
CAN EXPECT SOUTHEAST WINDS OF 35 TO 50 MPH WITH GUSTS IN EXCESS OF
70 MPH...AND A HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTILL NOON
TUESDAY FOR THE SANTA BARBARA COUNTY MOUNTAINS.

ALONG THE CENTRAL COAST...SOUTHEAST WINDS HAVE BEEN VERY STRONG
TODAY WITH GUSTS AS HIGH AS 60 MPH REPORTED ALONG THE IMMEDIATE
COAST. THE WIND ADVISORY THERE HAS BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL 9 PM TONIGHT
AS STRONG WINDS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE EARLY EVENING HOURS BEFORE
DECREASING.

AT LOWER ELEVATIONS OF LOS ANGELES AND VENTURA COUNTIES EAST TO
SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL BE INCREASING TONIGHT AND WIND ADVISORIES HAVE
BEEN POSTED FOR THE VALLEYS AND COASTAL AREAS. AT HIGHER ELEVATIONS
WINDS WILL BE VERY STRONG AS WELL. BECAUSE THE WINDS WILL BE
ACCOMPANIED BY THE POTENTIAL FOR HEAVY SNOW ABOVE 6000 TO 7000
FEET...A WINTER STORM WARNING (LAXWSWLOX) HAS BEEN POSTED FOR THESE
AREAS. PLEASE REFER TO THE WINTER STORM WARNING PRODUCT FOR ALL WIND
AND SNOW RELATED INFORMATION FOR THE VENTURA AND LOS ANGELES COUNTY
