Cleanup at DCHS after the flood(s)

Assuming the weather remains clear after the predicted deluges for the next few days are over, and the river level becomes manageable, would anyone be interested in organizing a clean-up of the springs area, to scoop the sand out of the pools, and do whatever else may need doing? Perhaps next weekend (January 8th/9th). I live two hours away, in Pasadena, but would be willing to make the trek out there to help with a group clean-up effort. From the pictures that were posted, it looks like the floods have really messed the place up.

I know there's a volunteer organization that takes care of the springs and the pools, but I don't really know how to get hooked up with them.
