I did receive a satellite photograph from MojaveGreen with a red line indicating the location of J1299. I have been quite busy so I have not been able to follow up on this yet. However, based on the satellite photograph and the location of the red line, I would be inclined to think that LaughingBear and MojaveGreen may be correct that this was an illegally created trail.
However, I want to actually see for myself. So, I will be making arrangements to go to the area to inspect the location of J1299.
I do not think it is okay to just blaze new trails.
