When I worked on the California Desert Conservation Plan for the BLM back in the early 1980's, ACEC's were established to protect KNOWN resources. So for somone to say their are no resources in that ACEC is absurd. We need to keep in mind that resources need not be just cultural. They can be biological and socioeconmic as well.
