I am interested in hearing what Ron finds out from Brad Burns about the cutting. When the USFS expressed doing something to erase that trail I had imagined it would be something much more benign and sensitive to the natural landscape. Right now I am just assuming that the USFS did this cutting based on the reports I have seen here at this forum. After the harsh results of the Willow Fire and the lengthy recent drought which devastated so much of the local vegetation its just dissappointing to see a nice canyon like that get chopped up for reasons that don't look very sensible.
