I’ve started to use the Bradford Ridge trail as my preferred way, only due to avoiding the dirt road at Bowen and shorter drive time from LA. I actually find the trail relatively easy, move at a pretty quick pace, and always pack plenty of water; however, like all the previous discussions say that last half mile is no joke. I’ve gone both routes (steep and less steep) at the end and they’re both a bit hairy regardless due to the terrain. That said it is totally doable just don’t do it or bring someone who’s not hiked on that kind of thing before - I brought my wife last summer and while she loved the springs, she really hated that section of the trail.
Incidentally, I’m heading up there this Wednesday - wife not coming this trip haha!!! (She wants to go back but we’ll use Bowen then 😉)
