On the Bradford Ridge Trail where you reach that split, the one to the right being steeper, and the one to the left less steep, on the left path, if you go down ( roughly ) a couple of hundred feet or so where you would on the original route go across an area which is slippery with decomposed granite, at that point you can go to your left and stay on top of the ridge, a way I find to be better with less chance of slipping. It will after a bit connect with the other route again. I like going that way too because since you are on top of the ridge it has great views of the canyon. I find the Bradford Ridge Trail to be just fine for clothing optional hiking. As usual you may run into people, groups who are not familiar with the Naturist tradition in this area of the SBNF. The weather is warming up nicely, a great time of year to be at Deep Creek
