Yeah i responded this way to Sam D's post two years ago, but around 2012 I encountered a mountain lion on the Bowen Ranch goat trail back up to my car. It was first spotted by two French tourists who were really into watching it - I left them to it, and was thankful they were probably tastier than me ....
