I-5 traffic from LA and OC to SD has been a bear on Saturdays 8 AM - 2 PM and Sundays during extended weekends.

I have always taken the 60 to 15 and get off at Miramar Road, but I drive from the East San Gabriel valley. This route isn't what it use to be 25 years ago but it does detour around the OC. I just got back from the beach!
