Even if permitted at 70,000, there were more than double that amount that applied for tickets this year. It won't be like it used to be, where basically anyone that wanted to go to Burning Man just bought a ticket and went. The fabric of the Burning Man community, as it has been will be altered, and by how much remains to be seen. After going the last ten years straight, I couldn't score a ticket this year, and the small amount of tickets available at internet selling sites are just crazy high priced. It will be interesting to get reports of how it all plays out for Burning Man 2012.
