There were some awesome lightning storms this afternoon and evening here in the Victor Valley. One around 5 PM was moving east from the general area of Lake Arrowhead and moved on over southern Hesperia and east towards the direction of Pearblossom. Then around sunset a bigger line of thunderstorms came from the east and the middle section of it moved over the top of our home in Northeastern Apple Valley and I've never seen so much constant lightning in a storm before. It was like a strobe light was going off almost every second, literally. We also got a number of heavy downpours throughout the day. There were extreme emergency announcment on our local TV station telling people to stay indoors due the excessive lightning, high winds and very heavy rainfall. Just looking at the satelite image on the Weather Channel this evening it appears that more storms are headed our way for later on tonight or early morning. Amazing weather today!
