Rick, We were discussing this problem about the itchy bumps in recent postings and it was found that a number of people have experienced the same thing after long soaks at DCHS. This problem had seemingly appeared in the last couple of months. Since many people on this forum and the few people I mentioned it to down at the springs said they had been affected I would say that many other visitors probably experience this problem also. Since the weather is getting warmer people will spend less and less time in the hotpools and will not be in them long enough to get the syptoms. Ken, As you probably know already the general area is far below the average rainfall so the Deep Creek has been running low all winter. There's not enough snow in the drainage area for Deep Creek to raise the stream any more than a very small amount. Unless we get some substantial rainfall between now and the summer the stream will stay easy to cross as you have found it.
