All of this rain and snow is a blessing for the drought stricken areas of the San Bernardino mountains. After filling water bottles from my well, I noticed the water tasted especially sweet indicating a lower mineral content from a recharged aquafier. Everything is turning green and the wildflower show is coming soon, my favorite time of year!

Hotspringers should heed Wizard's caution warning as Deep Creek is prone to flash flooding. It is not uncommon for a wall of water to flood the canyon and the hotsprings are submerged with these floods. The amazing power of water is not to be underestimated. Thanks to Rick for the up to date weather forcasts.
