Does anyone know where the white pool hose got stashed? I have used it several times to clean up over this past winter/spring, and then it disappeared. If you know where it got stashed, please PM me. I am planning another trip to the Hot Springs soon. I always bring a scrub brush, and I would like to vacuum/siphon if it is needed.by SoCalHiker - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
If the trend continues, it is only a matter of time until the Forest Service and BLM close the entire area. Just like Aztec falls.by SoCalHiker - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I made a trip during the last storm a couple weeks ago. I love hiking to the springs and soaking in the rain. I met a few PCT through hikers, and there were a couple other groups that came and went. He claimed one of his "friends" was "trapped" in the rock wall that forms one of the pools. He, also said he had been there for 2 weeks and was surviving by eating algae. Got up early and went to the "new place". Paid my $10. Got down to the springs shortly after 8am. Nobody, absolutely no-one was there. All to myself. I Did some "pool maintenance", got some suction going with the blue pool tube. Cleaned out the "womb" a bit, then sucked a whole lot of stuff out of the upper pool. No-one showed up until after 9am. I guarantee one thing, the Forest Circus wants to limit access. It is the easiest and cheapest thing to do. I don't know anything about Bowen Ranch, but I am sure the forest service will be really happy when "Mike" closes down.by SoCalHiker - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
