They had billboard warnings up all the way back in Vegas of a full closure and detour, but no explanation of why. While driving back I was thinking who in their infinite wisdom would close all lanes of a highway for construction during rush hour, then passing it, it came to light. They did have a good detour though. Lesson learned, do not weld during heavy winds next to a wooden frame.by mohave - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
QuoteSam D. We should write to the association to include DCHS vicinity in there. / Anitra Kass ([email protected]) may be able to help with that, or at least as a start, because she represents the S. If these were legitimate PCT hikers, they would have needed to apply for a permit, issued by the PCTA. The only thing I can think of is perhaps contacting PCTA and suggesting that they have hikers sign a form after reading about the garbage policy for certain local areas. They have been responsive to my emails and usually answer within a day.by mohave - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

We passed a car with just shy of about one foot of snow on its roof on the way in last night up the hill and temperature went from low 70s to mid 30s. Seems like they got hit with it from a day earlier when it rained in the city. This morning it's slowly heating up. This is at Arrowhead.by mohave - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

If you are coming from west, 210 -> Sierra Ave exit, turn left -> go under I15 -> Glen Helen Pkwy, turn right -> straight, go under I15 again then merge back onto I15. It will save you a lot of time. The construction on I15 between 210 and and 215 is still causing extensive delays during peak times. On a side note, if you don't make the right turn onto Glen Helen and keep going yoby mohave - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

Looks like the last incident was a week ago. They like kids. Leave kids at home. Seriously if you Google it, they mistake kids for prey. In school, and in other settings where adults are in charge, they make decisions for children and solve children’s problems. In play, children make their own decisions and solve their own problems. I've met some very cool geezers in my short life. Age is so irrelevant these days. My first sailing instructor was 85. My barber when I lived in KS was late 70s and still an avid rider and pilot. I took an advanced self defense program in weapons back in 07 after my ex had her life threatened south of the border and needed an armed escort to the airport. Our instructor was a retired AF pilot wellby mohave - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Think it would have been more effective to take a photo with Mike next to a tub giving the thumbs up sign with the $5 crossed out and $3.99 special running for two months. I'm sure he must have at least one on that property. Although I'm not sure if he has a sense of humor to follow through.by mohave - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

Speaking of I'm lining up to sponsor the 5 schools just north of you this week. One thing I'm trying different this year is seeing if I can pair up with someone who has a corporate sponsor program. For example, anyone working for Raytheon will receive a match on a gift to a school of 1:1 up to 5K. If you work for Costco, they will match up to 7K. Rumor has it that it will take effect June 1st until second week of September. All trails in and out blocked to accommodate an environmental impact assessment. Paul here is one more advantage to Vimeo. The video I made below is comprised of 12.6 GB of final audio and footage, shot at 1080p at 30 fps. Compressed it is 1.3 GB. Vimeo's algorithms maintain HD while streaming at best possible rate. For example, despite the 1.3 GB size, I'm able to still watch it in HD on my phone and as such without pixelation, which cannot be said about YouTube. My first visit was very memorable. I have no idea on how some of those fish get so big in the river there as they are pretty much contained to that one area during the summer. If you sit upstream a bit between the rocks the smaller fish will nibble on your chest and legs, much like my ex used to, but they do it better hands down.by mohave - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
That's actually not a bad idea. After all, you are on private and not public property so the owner's rules apply.
