do you think by this weekend (the 8th), the flooding will have reduced? or should i assume bradford ridge would be better?by naphi - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Thanks. I asked someone on Instagram, and the road is closed. But the snowmelt hasn’t really started yet so the springs were still accessible. We’ll see what happens in 6 weeks.by naphi - California Hot Springs
Heading up to the Eastern Sierra over Memorial Day weekend, and planning to go to Buckeye and Travrtine hot springs. With all the snow this year, do you think we’ll have an issue getting to the springs? Also, any tips on times when we’re likely to encounter less people there? I understand they can be popular, and my wife gets a bit nervous being naked when there are too many people arounby naphi - California Hot Springs
Thanks for the advice. I saw on Instagram that the creek has flooded and didn’t look crossable from the Bowen Ranch side. I’ve hiked Bradford ridge before in the spring, but was thinking we might have an ice issue. Anyone have experience with a winter hike on Bradford ridge?by naphi - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I was thinking of going on Monday. Do you think the road to Bown ranch might be OK and creek not too high by then?by naphi - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Hi. I’m thinking of hiking into the springs on Monday (Jan 15) from Bowen Ranch. How high will the creek be after our rains this week? Will it still be relatively easy to cross (albeit cold)?by naphi - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I've never been down during the week and am super jealous! Tuesday's my birthday, and I'd much rather be sitting in a hot spring than working. I'm a big fan of the Bradford Ridge trail, coming from LA it's a shorter drive. I'd rather hike longer and drive less. Like Wizard said, I believe there's a turnoff at the bottom. If anyone has a GPX file, let me know.by naphi - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
