If I was to hike down with a bundle of stakes and pound them along the way with mile markers for trail would that be acceptable?by zarr5 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Can you advice on boiling water to drink and eating. What a scary thought you have given me of reality. If a fire came over that ridge it would be a horrific hike in a rush to get out of there. I am obviously not an expert camper or hiker, please forgive me if my questions sound dumb.by zarr5 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Thank you so much Paul. I am going to post on my fb page if that is ok. I know people who go and think all should know. Also can you inform me as to fire pits. burning trash, and update on parasites in that particular water? And fishing? Also we wanted to stay with kids a couple nights. We have stayed while PCT hikers were there and were told rangers don't have a problem with campers as long as tby zarr5 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
ok, thank you so much, I have to say this forum has really helped me let the kids know etiquette for their first hot springs trip. : )by zarr5 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
If it is fresh and new I am thrilled. I like to take my kids down there and this gives me a piece of mind that should anything happen the trail is clearly marked. : ) We were thinking of bringing a can to re spray spots, but wanted to get opinions first. : ) Happy Hiking hipocketsby zarr5 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I am sorry, I don't see the harm in painting the rocks. If you can help I would appreciate it. I thought whoever did it had a great idea. Yes many other ways could of been used, but realistically that trail is hard enough, I couldn't imagine carrying some kind of posts/markings when you can use what nature has provided. Rocks!by zarr5 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
