Hi All! not too active on this board, but been there a few times, great place. Was wondering if any of you regulars have seen people go by on kayaks or rafts? I was considering starting up at arrowhead on willow creek OR where willow and Deep join. I dont really know the creek that well as i have only been to the springs. Whats the flow look like? anyone with an idea of the class of rapids?by nickrp83 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
HAHA, sounds like you enjoy the nudity! good on ya, but i think we will prob keep our clothes on, especially being that we will be with her sister haha (would make things awkwards at the dinner table)... but yeah the nudity wouldnt bother us, born naked, might as well live naked, to each his/her own. I have been there before just took a different route and was with a group of a backpackers (litby nickrp83 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

So i am confused, is point A or point B Freedom trailhead?by nickrp83 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Thanks!! By to the right do you mean west? And yeah we plan on being well prepared for sure, we always are! Is an adventure pass required there? if so where is the closest ranger station? (if you know) as i think i need a fire permit for this year yet, or if i did i cant find it.by nickrp83 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Thanks Jobe, so point B is the Freedom trail lower lot? and yeah i have a 2012 FJ Cruiser with 4x4 so not too worried about the roads it can tackle most anything that isnt too extreme. Wasnt too worried about following the pink arrows looks like you just head down hill veering east shouldnt be too hard. Can you camp in the area of point B?by nickrp83 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

Morning all, I am planning to head out to DCHS this Friday with my wife and her little sister in the late afternoon/early Friday and staying the night in the area. I am an experienced hiker and my wife has quite a few hikes under her belt as well, her 14 year old sister is a little less experienced but very capable. I have hiked in Bradford ridge before, but last I hear the 173 from silverwood iby nickrp83 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Does anyone have an actual map of this trail? (maybe google maps or something similar?) I plan on heading down there this weekend with wife and little sister and i havent done this route before, a map would be super helpful.by nickrp83 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
yeah... it was a little sad that it was so quiet and relaxing, until about 8am....then a family from LA showed up, one of which was majorly drunk and screaming at his friends so loud it woke us up. by the time we left we got almost a mile up trail and we could STILL hear him.....by nickrp83 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Had a great time, went out last night parked up on 173. Camped up upstream from the springs a ways, awesome full moon!. Hit the springs this morning stayed for a few hours but took off after a few folks showed up and ruined the peace and quiet in a huge way. great place will absolutely go back for another weekend soon. Thanks for all the info!!!by nickrp83 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
So about 1/4 mile back on the pavment then you just can pull off and camp? or is it a trail head parking area?by nickrp83 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Oh yeah I figured no camping at the springs and knew there would be no fires. Just looking for some suggested areas to camp preferably with trees as some of us will be in hammocks. Also preferably secluded. I have a 67 bronco, so I am good with the 4wd and high clearence any suggested routes in?by nickrp83 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
What about the surrounding area?by nickrp83 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
So I have never been to the hot-springs but would love to head out this this weekend on a little backpacking trip. I will be hammock camping so i was looking for some suggestions on routes, maybe a map. I would like to camp somewhere that has some trees (preferably around 12-15 feet apart). I have a 4wd bronco so access shouldnt be too much of a problem. would love to just camp by the springsby nickrp83 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
