I found a GPS track I still have from 2010. It looks like I turned the GPS on about a half mile upstream from the hot springs; but, subtracting that from the 2.44 mile total recorded on my GPS is right in the ballpark of the 1.84 miles Trailgal has.by Tim - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I was up there this last week as well (though, I didn't make it to Wild Willy's this time). It was especially beautiful in the mornings.by Tim - California Hot Springs
Unfortunately, I believe they were pretty much destroyed by the fire; but, I heard they plan on rebuilding.by Tim - California Hot Springs
Have the leaves around started changing yet? The leaves started changing a little bit early up in the Eastern Sierras this year and I was wondering if it was the same at DCHS.by Tim - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I too was there 6-3-11 but not as early as you (too bad I didn't see your post earlier; I would have made a point of getting there earlier). Hiked nude in and out from Bowen Ranch. It was a beautiful and peacefull day. It was my first trip back there this year and it seems like several of the trees are now gone.by Tim - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Unfortunately, I won't be able go until Friday, June 3. Planning on freehiking in from Bowen Ranch.by Tim - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I was out there last Monday (10-11-10) and Bowen Ranch Road was bit "washboardy" but still quite passable with my two-wheel drive sedan. The level of the creek is just a bit below waist level. There is a spot a little bit upstream from the hot springs that some inconsiderate idiots saw fit to paint graffiti on some of the rocks. But for the bit of graffiti, DCHS is in pretty goodby Tim - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
