QuotePaul P. Remember, we are talking about ORV activity in off limit areas. ORVs do much more damage than a 6 inch rut. They destroy vegetation cover and erode soils along trails, primitive roads, and wilderness, access routes. ORVs are substantially more impacting to natural resource conditions and the experiences of recreational visitors than other non-motorized forms of recreation. I agree on the clean up. I would be willing to go, but last time I got a group of friends to go help clean up the area we got into some dispute with other springers because we where scrubbing out the big pool while they wanted to soak. we got two pools cleaned and gave up because of the other springers being pissed.by outlaw1 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
There is a staging area off of deep creek rd. with signs. as you ride into the hills you will come to a point on most of the trails where a sign states its the end of ohv riding limits. but you wont be bothered riding just about anywhere you want out there. Sorry to the hotspring lovers that hate the motorcycle riders for posting this. but its true. I have Ridden the hills for years with out anyby outlaw1 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

Sam its not his problem that those people entered a place named (DEATH VALLEY) with out water and good tires with spares. Some people are just freaking stupid. If I tell someone how to get some where and what to bring to be safe and they only take directions with no other supplies shame on them. but if i tell them no supplies are needed shame on me!by outlaw1 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

Screw mike. next time you go you will see a gate on your right just befor his 10pm sign. It looks rough but it is possible in a car. take that right and follow the main road taking every left. after your third left you will go up one hill, continue to the secound hill STAY to the right even tho it looks harder. once you get up the hill you decent back down to a parking lot on your right. I vote get the bums the fuc* out of the area, no matter how much they help clean the place. In reality the more bums that make dchs their home the more likely we will lose the place forever. pro's One bum helps clean Con's The other bum left trash all over the place They disturb the eco system They break several laws each night they stay/camp within a mile of the drainage Thby outlaw1 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
4wd is not needed. just dont stop in the mud. keep at least 10 mph when in the mud. I posted in someone elses post, I made it saturday evening in a stock 4runner, and not once did i need the 4wd. I made it to the lower parking lot that is a few miles past bowen ranch!by outlaw1 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Go for it. But i tryed calling the ranger station 10 flipping times about my camping question last week. Not a single call was awnswerd!by outlaw1 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Well I made it all the way to the lower parking lot below bowen ranch, and back out with out putting my stock 4runner in 4wd. The road does have some mud and puddels but nothing that would keep a car out, just get it filthy. The creek is freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezing but not to deep. I was suprized at how low it was. the springs where great, except the homeless people living there leaving therby outlaw1 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

During the week it is way less crowded, but i have noticed with all the unemployed people its hardly ever unpopulated at the upper springs.by outlaw1 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
The 4x4 trail is orv. Its a designated off road trail. any who I had a great time at the springs today about 40-50 people down there it was great.by outlaw1 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Bowen ranch has picnicking areas and camping is allowed so what part of illegal is being mistaken for legal.by outlaw1 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
The bottom of the first hill leaving bowen ranch. aka 4x4 trail head. I'm not trying to be an ass about this but i am just stressing the legality of this. In a similar fashion most do about camping at the springs. I'm extremely sick of some people smashing people when thy want to visit deepcreek during the illegal hours. but feel they have the right to break laws them self.by outlaw1 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Its Illegal to hike nude from bowen ranch. Keep your clothes on until you get to the springs. Thanksby outlaw1 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I tried to go to the springs with my dad while it was snowing but the trail has been made almost unpassable because to many cars have compacted the snow into ice. btw we have a spammer named ttitsy under california hot springs.by outlaw1 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
today was a great day, had the place to our selves. great weather, and the pools are better than everyone thinks. the womb is almost normal. just a little sand in it. the upper pool is fixed as far as i can tell. it too is a little sandy. the pool under the womb is bigger because of sand bags. the arizona pool is still recieving river water so its not enjoyable. If you have a facebook you can seeby outlaw1 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

Ok guys November 14th has been set for a cleanup day at the hotsprings.by outlaw1 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Than we should get together to clean up the pools. Every time I am there I try to do what i can but we need to go down with a crew. and clean the shit out of the pools. How does November 14th sound. its a Saturday so there will be a handful of people already there. and maybe us cleaning will motivate others to help. I will go down and bring some brushes. who else is ready for a major clean up?by outlaw1 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I wanted everyone's opinion before I brought the equipment in. I think everyone is just as tired of all the gunk floating around as I am. I was going to shock all of the pools and then place some chlorine balls in the main three. If anyone objects voice your opinion before I go ahead with my plans.by outlaw1 - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
