Like I always advise people going to the springs : ya never know what to expect. On the day I was there it was epic. The tight rope walkers were real pros who had a love of what they were doing. They walked from building to building on cables with no saftey nets. Like a fun hobby. This went on for 4 hours. They were helping others learn their craft. In the sprit of freedom. No april fooling yesterday was a good day for visiting the springs. The weather was perfect, and so were the vibes. I got to the springs at 9 am. Only about 10 persons were there, later no more than 30 persons at any one time. Everyone were polite and respectful to each other, kind of like one big hot spring family. The only other regular there was a guy my age named Dave. There were 3 tents upstby jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Paul, the answer is NO! How are we going to collect any LOVE if we avoid our favorite hot springs? It is called a love collective. Do we need a permit to collect love? Or is this a misnomer? Or is a ticket a permit? Very confused.by jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I am happy to announce the weirdo that was freaking out hot springers was not there yesterday 2-4-22 a Friday. I picked up the large mess he left. After putting all his camping gear at the "pack out what you pack in sign." I picked up more than 50 pounds of his trash. Left about 30 pounds by the sign and hiked out over 20 pounds. If he ever comes back I will give him a piece of my mind.by jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
In a case like this you need an attorney. It is obvious the police are part of the Cover up. Allowing a domestic terrorist to terrorise tourist and neighbors for such a long time makes them liable for a BIG payout. And not only for the hospital and ambulance fees. Your case is one many lawyers dream about having. Easy picking of Mike's pocket book. Yea, hit him where it hurts and lock nim up whilby jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Paul he has a lawyer. I will leave the details to others. I am very excited by his resume'.by jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I am very happy to hear you are getting better BG. I hope you realize, that anything you say or do "may" be used against you. It is my hope you continue to spread happiness all over your beautiful property. Back in the eighties I asked Mike to hire me to build an out house for the parking area. He told me to forget about that.He was not going to help anyone. So, I vollenteered to pay foby jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Thanks for your help Chandra spring. The crazy guy at the springs was perhaps in his late 30's or early 40's. Old enough to know better. Sounds like he needs an attitude adjustment. If I caught someone like you described a psychologist or a big ugly jail mate could do the job. Or perhaps both together. I would provide some right and left upper cuts to show him how I feet about his wickedness. Thby jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I went to the springs on Sunday. Got there just before noon. The crazy guy was sleeping at the same place he has been observed for the past month. As I was going in more then twenty persons were leaving. They said "it was crowded." So when I got there sure enough it was crowded. Maybe 60 people. As time went by it got worse. So I left early, about 3pm. He was still sleeping. I looked cby jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
The restraining order now is temporary. On Feb. 14th a permanent restraining order will be put in place in the Barstow court house. The County sheriff's will serve Mike Castro before then, I hope. He will be up the creek without a paddle then. Or more accurately, without a gun.by jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
They got the restraining order, that was a sure thing. Makes me envious, I want to get one too. Maybe if enough people get restraining orders the cops will get busy and do their job. The one where they lock up violent psychopaths. As for the one at the springs. I plan on coordinating with the Forest service and confronting him about freeing him from the rocks at the springs. Stay tuned and stayby jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I have just been informed that at 8:30am tomorrow at the courthouse in Barstow, Deptment B2. A hearing will be held to get a restraining order to protect Brent Gaddes from Mike Castro owner of Bowen ranch.by jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
It was a few minutes before eleven when I started down the trail to D.C.hot springs. On the way in it was sunny but you could see clouds moving in. My thermometer said it was 62 degrees. There were 17 cars in the Bowen ranch parking lot. I counted 25 cars in the D.C.H.S. campground parking area. But I am certain there were cars elsewhere I could not see. This lead me to expect a crowd at the sprinby jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I spoke to several persons today and earlier about the shooting near the Bowen ranch. First of all I learned the shooting happened on the property of the Deep Creek Hot Springs campground. Near where the road splits for the Bowen ranch entrance. So Mike Castro left his property and went onto Brent's property to attempt to murder his neighbor. What a nice guy. I do not understand what benefit thatby jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I met that guy 3 week ago. He said his name was Robert. Then 2 weeks ago he said his name was Lawrence. Sunday when I saw him he said he did not have a name. He was scaring people by carrying a machete. If you talk to him long enough he starts speaking Latin. He has been there for more than a month. Something must be done.by jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Saturday I went to the springs. Upon arriving at the new D.C. hot springs campground I learned that Brent Gaddes, one of the owners of the campground had been shot the previous evening. By Mike Castro, the owner of the Bowen ranch next door. I got 2 very different stories from 2 different people. The police are investigating. Brent was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. It was another almost perfect weather day to be at my favorite hot springs. The outside air temp at 1:30 pm was 67 degrees with a slight breeze to remind you of what a great and beautiful place this is. As I hiked in I came across 3 beautiful women from San Diego. One had been there before, the other 2 were first-timers. They said, "that they really enjoyed their day as they left." Theby jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Neo, I think I know who you are talking about. He helped me clean the dead algae out of the womb pool a few months ago. And was there last week. Also I forgot to mention, the beautiful woman helped me clean the womb pool on Wednesday. I will see you soon, I hope.by jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I got to the new campground at 12 o'clock. Talked to the owners for about 1/2 hour. They were excited about their new zip line being completed. They are awaiting certification before it can be used by the public. We joked about a zip line to the springs, not likely. The owners were in their usual happy friendly state. They have made a lot of progress in making a world-class campground. They alsoby jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Also they have some very secluded sites. Call in advance and ask for a secluded site and have a good time. I ask everyone to please show respect when encountering textiles. We NEED to keep others from being offended. Otherwise we could lose our free speech rights. Yikes!by jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Yes and yes. I asked and owner said " nothing has changed, it is as it has always been." Enjoy!by jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I have explored more than you. There is a pit toilet every 1 or2 hundred feet if you keep hiking. There many large mash like tents for rent also. Some come with running water and electricity too.by jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Neogeo, I am happy to report that on Saturday I visited the springs to fix the Contemplation pool. After hearing about it on your post. When I got there it was already fixed. However, the pipe was still draining the water out. So I got a sandbag from the Golden locks pool and blocked the drain. It was full and flowing beautifully when I left at about 4 pm. Some one had made the Golden locks poolby jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Once again Paul is right. The CCP is responsible for this plaque. So I give them the honor of naming it after the "everything is ok, nothing to see here" Communist Party. Ain't they terrific?by jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
I arrived at the D.C.H.S. Campground just before noon. Niked around and noticed the campground was nearly full. A party was going on in several different areas. Tents were near every picnic table, almost. It seemed as if everyone I saw were having a good time and smiling. It gave my earlier comments of 'party on' was what was happening here. If only I were younger I would have crashed a party somby jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Worlds forgottenboy, Thanks again for your help. Usually it. Takes 2 or more hours to clean the algae out of the Womb pool. Because of your help, we got it done in just over 1 hour. You will get pay back next time you visit.by jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
It is my opinion that is a fine and informative video. Could have shown more of the camp grounds and it's features, however.by jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Yea Paul, you got it right. I also meant to mention the Road grader dude was out grading the Bowen ranch road. It is much less bumpy. Most persons here may not have noticed. I noticed because I need new shock absorbers because I have gone to the freedom trailhead too many times. I also enjoy the nice attitude of the D.C.H.S. campground host. I got to the Deep Creek campground just after 11 o'clock. There were about 20 people camping in the parking area. I thought it would be a quiet day? NOT. The smell of bacon and eggs was in the air. As I got to the Mofo hill, which is the last big hill before descending down to the creek, I meet an angel. Or rather, a young woman named Angel. She was hiking in the nude. Paulespo, I did not notice any graffiti near the Contemplation Pool. I have not been on the Bradford ridge path for several months. I did notice about 50 gallons of trash by the pack out owl sign. And it is common to see 3-5 campers every time I go there. Thanks for all you do to help.by jobe - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
