Scenic Hot Springs are located in Washington on US2 (Stevens Pass Highway) at milepost 59. You can park on the highway year round and take the two mile hike or when there is no snow you can drive 1.5 miles up the rough dirt road. It's best to have a 4X4 with high clearance. Follow the power lines to the trailhead and continue up the steep trail another .5 mile to the hot springs.
Sheriff's deputies raided Scenic Hot Springs in October, 2001, charging that the tubs and decks were built without county permits on property owned by someone else.
After Scenic was closed, it was purchased by a corporation. Friends of Scenic Hot Springs has been working with the corporate landowner to eventually allow access to Scenic Hot Springs again.
