Hey Sam I have also driven all the way to little Caliente in my high clearance two wheel drive truck when the gate at Santa Ynez campground has been open. I have also ridden my mountain bike in that way when the gate was closed. My parents knew a lot of the Mountain Drive folks back in the day. I was just a young kid then, but I had heard many stories about their parties at big c and little c. I think Bill Neely was the one who constructed the tri level concrete soaking tubs you see now at little. C. The rectangular big tub at big c is much much older, the two riverside pools at Big c.are much newer and I'm not sure who constructed those.

Like I mentioned, the ranger who is stationed at the nearby Pendola station would know the most about maintaining little c.,or call the Goleta office of the USFS.
