Made it to Gaviota again early Friday morning and Pirates Cove on Friday afternoon. Another just great experience. Had the hot springs to myself for the hour I was there. Single lane path has poison oak, but avoidable if you pay attention. At Pirates Cove I was swimming out in the bay when a sea lion splashed nearby (like 20 feet), then he surfaced and stared at me for 2 minutes. Very nice mellow crowd.
