Neogeo,, thanks for bringing that to our attention. I've soaked at Vickers for years, In my opinion, the impetus to close Vickers is based solely on an irate Ojai resident who apparently formed Ecotopia under the guise of a no profit conservancy organization. but it's not. In fact, Ecotopia claims they have purchased the land that includes the hot spring, but they have not. The hot spring itself is on public land in the river, so legally Ecotopia is not on strong footing. As someone indicated at your link, there is no way to close off access to the spring unless a 24 hour armed guard is posted at the small parking area, and that ain't going, to happen. I have strong Ojai connections, and rest assured that the closure is not legal. Stay tuned....
