A group of friends and I hiked in to Little Caliente Hot Springs last Saturday from the Cold Springs Trailhead on East Camino Cielo Road, via this route that I posted awhile back.
The trail is in very good condition, and the bushwacking portion by Gibraltar Reservoir is even easier to follow than it was the last time I went. Somebody recently put up streamers along the trail, making it much easier to follow than usual. And it's been a dry enough winter that the swampy portions are pretty much bone-dry.
My hiking route rejoins the dirt road at Mono Campground. The road is in its usual condition there. Once you get onto the spur trail toward Little Caliente, it's still closed about a half-mile or so before the springs themselves, with enormous washouts in the middle of the road.
The tubs were pleasant as usual. The top one was nice and toasty, with the middle and lower tubs at pleasant temperatures as well, for when we wanted something cooler.
Pix here.
