Sunset Valley Road to Close for Paving Operations

GOLETA, CA - Los Padres National Forest officials today announced that road paving work on the Santa Lucia Ranger District will temporarily close Sunset Valley Road on November 16.
The portion of Sunset Valley Road (8N09) from Cachuma Saddle to the Nira Campground will be closed from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm November 16 to allow crews to safely conduct paving operations. Road crews will begin clearing dirt and other debris from the road to prepare for paving. Visitors should anticipate temporary delays through Wednesday.
Motorized travel to and from Davy Brown and Nira Campgrounds will be impacted during this time, and visitors are encouraged to call the Santa Lucia Ranger District at (805) 925-9538 with questions related to this project.
