Called the Santa Barbara office to inquire about the road closure to Big and Little Caliente HS 2 days ago.
I was told it's going to be Oct. I think I got the formula for the rangers answer: Current month + one month for the road to
reopen.

When I called in April I was told the road was going to be reopen in May.
When I called in May I was told the road was going to be reopen in June.
When I called in June I was told the road was going to be reopen in July.
When I called in July I was told the road was going to be reopen in Aug.
When I called in Aug I was told the road was going to be reopen in Sept/Oct.

I see a pattern. If they reopen in Oct, it's going to be right before the rain season, so the road will get washed
out again.

Is there a way to get money back for my Forrest Adventure permit?
