In your 3rd map down it shows the Pendota guard station and Aqua Caliente canyon. You turn right or northward there and the Hot spring is @ 2 miles up there. If you were a little more knowledgeable you could have gone down the steep bluff to the river and saved over an hour of time. Cutting off the huge switchback near Lake Jamison. I would not go back up that way however.
Also, once you get to the rectangular cement pool stop and relax awhile. Then go a few hundred yards further up the trail to some pools on the bluff. They maybe too hot but you can adjust the water flow to cool them and enjoy.
To get to Little Caliente stay on the same road. Before turning at Agua Caliente canyon it is @ 3 or 4 miles further.
You could ask people here in advance and maybe some one could hitch a ride with you that knows the area.
