If you are a serious hiker (and backpacker) you can try Willett Hot Spring along Sespe Creek above Ojai. Its 10 miles one way with several creek crossing so you won't get a crowd. The trail is good with gentle grades, but its still 10 miles. The hot springs are above Sespe Creek in a canyon and flow through plastic pipe into a large (10-12' diameter) round hard plastic tub that can be drained and refilled. Temp upon filling is usually just right.
Below the hot spring is and old ranch with metal sheds, cabins and corrals. One of the cabins has bunk bed frames that you can sleep on and also has various supplies. Interesting place actually.

BUT nothing beats Deep Creek.
