Thanks windsong for caring and sharing. The story of "J" illustrates once again that people need to be prepared for the backcountry when hiking into Deep Creek. Sounds like the fire you built was essential to save that fools life. Did anyone call the USFS or Sherrif's office. Better to get him out alive rather than dead like that kid last year who got suprised in the snow
