Miguelbgood,
In case you were out of the country last summer. Or just did not read the paper. In Florida this protozoa was found in warm lakes in Florida. The cause ,after careful study, was ILLEGAL IMMAGRANTS from central America. so what do you suggest, that we make illeagle immagrants more illeagle? This protozoa is carried by people from tropical regions. Why ? it dies when the cold air or water comes in contact w/it. Why? , nature.
So next time you are over there , PLEASE, do not go to deep creek and soak.
Also, I am a Florida native, In Florida in the summer people who hang out at the beaches, as I did, get a similar rash to the one at deep creek. The Florida natives call it No see-ums. It is caused by microscopic crabs.
One year in High school I did a science fair project. I took a picture from the encylclopedia and blew it up. Then I got a friend to use his microscpe and camera and took a picture of the no see ums. They look exactly like the crabs you can buy at the market to eat, only small, very small and grey. So inconclution, Do you think we can get them to close down all those beautiful beaches in Florida too?
And as a side note, a recent study concluded that people who live with in 1/4 of a mile of freeways, have a70 % higher chance of developing cancer. And people who live in crowded apartments have a much higher rate of getting AIDES. and on and on.
So have a nice day OK. ;~]
