Hmmm, WZ, you sure remind me of a close friend Jen. Just wonderin, do you ever use the word " yuckie " ? Anyway, you seem especially determined that DCHS is a hotbed of protoplasmic slime, and the area should therefore be closed due to this dire threat. The reality is, the springs has been visited by many thousands of people, throughout decades, and in that time there has been one report of one person who perished back in the 70's from some Ameoba, a person who had been traveling alot in other countries just previous to thier visit to DCHS, so where did that one person really get thier bug? That, will remain a mystery. The itchy rash experienced by a few at DCHS is a nusiance, thats it. It may be yuckie, but it aint fatal :-) I for one would love to hear what your county contacts have told you, about the reason for " contamination " of Deep Creek Hot Springs, are we talkin Poo, Relaxed Doggies, or Feas :-)
