Sam, flooding in the Deep Creek drainage is a natural process that has been going on for thousands of years without human intervention. Indeed it is good to clean out the pools after the storms have passed to make them serviceable and soakable again. I agree with Wizard -in some cases its OK to get that debris and driftwood back into the swift flowing creek, but it can also cause a logjam downstream. Sometimes its just better to let the stuff remain. Looks like some more storms are on the way -may be a wet year after all. I wonder if we'll see as much mud as the last few years?
