Well....the weather was right on the forcast this time. It may be an interesting year weather wise. Off shore, water temps are warmer than normal this year with an influx of exotic species like dorado. Humbolt squid are reported as far north as Washington state which is very uncommon. A mild El Nino has developed in the central equatorial pacific which may affect our weather patterns this winter. The drought is nothing new however, this patteren has existed for centuries based upon tree ring data. The western US has been getting dryer for the last 8000 years. Is the effect of pollution and deforestation accelerating this natural process?
