I've been hunting them hills for a long time. Quail and cottontail taste really good! Much better than them store bought steroid fed chickens thats for sure. Private lands are closed to hunting unless the hunter has written permission of the owner. The public lands are open however, A group called Quail unlimited have constructed a few guzzlers in the area to help enhance the game population. Hunters who violate the fish and game laws and tresspass are subject to siezure of their guns and vehicles as well as court action.
