Re: J1299 legal trail or illegal trail?

Legally, this trail is not open as WEMO designation has not been finalized yet the BLM has made no effort whatsoever to prevent further damage to the archeological and riparian areas. This has landed the BLM in hot water with the State Historical Protection Office, or SHPO. In the interm, this path is getting wider from route proliferation that was blatlantly obvious during the recent public full moon hike sponsored by the Friends of Juniper Flats. Best time to hike is in the early morning or evening Katrina. Take lots of water and a snack for when you get to the cave. Enjoy.
