We did get one slight sprinkle in the night. I could tell by my windshield in the morning. It must have been just a faint trace of sprinkling, with no moisture evident in the morning.

I wouldn't blame the USFS if they closed the forest again. We need a good el nino year at least, and preferably a few years in a row with good rains. The nighttime campers with the potential campfires at DCHS have me worried. Whenever I am hiking out of the springs and see people hiking in, I always ask them to please not have a campfire. I've also been spreading the word that the USFS does make nighttime visits, and that camping at the springs could bring a hefty fine.

Sam D. is unfortunately right, though. DCV just doesn't have too much impact on night use. Hopefully that will change.
