Sorry to distract from the message.
In spring of '83 I was bitten by a water moccosin. I nearly died. As I was intinse pain. I stayed in the hospital on morphen for 3 days, constantly praying to God to allow me to raise my son. Yes this snake was upward in a bush and jumped downward stricking me above the ankle. The best way to overcome your fear is to face it head on. So about one year later while hiking with a friend, I shot an 8 foot water moccosin as it was striking from a coiled position at us. I shot him while he was in mid air and I hit him squarely down the throat. He lost his head, but my friend did not. He still has his head and skin mounted on his wall. I saw them last October when I visited Florida. This snake over filled a 5 gallon bucket we had.
Jesus said "fear not those whom can harm your body, but fear God whom has power over your soul."
The reason the B.L.M. gave for pulling me over was they said I was swerving on sand hill. The sand hill going to oak springs. Anyone familiar with this steep hill knows that you cannot drive up sand hill with out swerving. So I was looking forward to driving up sand hill w/the jury of my peers to sand hill. Charges were dropped. So their real reason was they were following orders from their boss Berry Nelson / Mike Castro.
Scott like me has never been in trouble with athorities. He has an exemplory military record to add spice too this. I find talking to him to be mentally challenging. I offered him a job and a place to stay in the city. To this he could not see leaving the challeng he faces in court. At least he has a goal now. Not just aimless as before.
My wife used to tell me " everyone makes their own bed, then they must sleep in it." This is Scott's bed to sleep in.
I did my part in trying to help. Any other suggestions?
