Our meeting this month was not a long one, and in my opinion we are reaching agreement on agenda items rather quickly. Attendence at our meetings is still lower than I would like, but at least those of us who are present seem to be developing more and more commonality, and I see that as a plus!

After the meeting, we discussed the large pile of large bags of trash collected by the rangers who evicted "the merchant", our good friend Frank, DCV members, and other good-hearted people. We agreed to carry out as much of it as possible, and anyone returning in the next few days would try to get the rest.

Ron, Wizard, and Paul went up to Family Canyon and found that it was, as "the merchant" had claimed, relatively clean. One large item that has been there for years was removed to another location for later removal, and some smaller trash was bagged up.

Attending members also removed a log that remained on the bank of the stream from when "the merchant" cut down the dead alder trees, out of a concern that people seeing that much dead wood nearby might be encouraged to build a fire.
