We also incountered this woman and her family on our hike out and she had stopped a few 100 feet up the trail and was lying flat on her back paralized with fear. She told me she was afraid to go any further or even stand up for fear of falling down the side of the mountain and was shaking with fear. When I saw her earlier she seemed able bodied but was very off balance and was unable to walk across the lagoon without assistance. My wife learned from their party that she was mentally hadicapped and had taken 4 hours to hike in from Bowen Ranch.

We also saw Mike ride his dirtbike down the hill from the Bowen Ranch parking lot and pick somebody up. I spoke to Mike when we reached the parking lot and he said he got 2 calls, one was for the girl that was airlifted and the other was for a cancer patient that he was asked to help back up the hill. There was a sheriff patrol at the parking lot and I guess they asked him to ride down to get pick him up.
