I talked to the Arroyo toads and they said that as long as we stop squishing them, then they give the Willow trees two thumbs up! I told the toads " Sorry, but you guys are trouble and gotta go, squish, squish! " Andre, perhaps you could be in charge of planting the oaks and the Sycamores which if planted now should be able to provide your childrens children with shade:-) The best thing is for people to stop cutting down the trees there already which have taken many, many years to reach a size to provide good shade. I like the idea of planting more cottonwoods since these trees grow rather quickly and have good leaves for shade. Nice to see the colors in the fall too. I've planted cottonwoods before by just cutting off a branch from a live one and then plant it in the ground a give it good water, it works. Can't get much easier than that since there are alot of cottonwoods there at the springs already! I personally like the willow trees and think that they are a nice addition to the beauty of the area!
