There was a happy reunion yesterday when a stray dog that was hanging around was discovered to have an owner. Thanks to the kindness of a local resident and animal lover, this dog was reunited with its owners who had been searching since November. Stray dogs are usualy wary and difficult to approach but this one was befriended by doggie treats. It was discovered to have a collar with a name on a tag.

The sound of weedwackers signals the beginning of the end of wildflower season. Having been burnt before, wise locals are already starting to clear the weeds. The lack of rain again this year ( we're below normal again) makes tha job a little easier and the weeds didnt get too tall. For those who still want to still see some wildflowers, check the burn areas of Summit Valley along Santa Fe Road. Carpets of bright yellow are there but it wont last long.

I didnt get a hotspring report as my usual source was soaking and not around the Village. Rumor has it that Hotspringer Roe is fast approaching his 1000th visit to DCHS.
