Katrina is confused for sure. Using the BLM Map titled Juniper Flats Subregion November 2003 proposed motorized inventory results , Maz 1 & Maz 2 as a reference, the route that can be seen by satalite is designated RJ1059 and RJ 1060. RJ1059 leads from Juniper Flats Road to Cottonwood springs and was designated closed to motorized vehicle use in the 1988 ACEC management plan . At the SW corner of section 36, it joins with RJ1060 and connects to powerline road. RJ 1060 has never been an open legal route and was created by fire suppression efforts in the late 70s. It is also within the ACEC. The ACEC management plan prohibited the use of mechanical fire suppression equiptment including fire retardent use in this area in 1988.

The route we all know as J1299 is now called RJ1057 on this most recent route inventory map. (I have no idea why the BLM changed the number) Clearly, RJ1057 (J1299) is non existant on the satalite photo. If you look just north of RJ1060, you can see the cattle trail along the fenceline that starts at the SW corner of sec 36 and procedes about halfway to powerline road before fading away. This is the only piece of RJ 1057 (J1299) that is visable. It is non existant everywhere else including the Sacred Cave area. Case Closed Katrina. Thankyou for the concrete evidence.

The cattle allotment fence seperates public lands from private property on 3 sides of section 36. It has been repeatedly vandalized on the north, west,and south sides with motorcyclists repeatly tresspassing onto private property. I hope this is clear for everyone, including Katrina.
