Once again katrina, "J1299" is non existant as a through trail to powerline road or Bowen Ranch Road. You are mistaking the dual track route that is south of "J1299". This route was made by fire suppression crews working a fire around 1979-80. Mechanical fire supression and retardant drops are banned within the cultural area after the ACEC plan was adopted in 1988. Motorized use of this route is illegal although it does exist on the ground. Although this map does show a portion of a trail along the fenceline of section 36 that has become J1299, this trail was made by cattle heading to Cottonwood spring. The significant thing in this arial photograph is the absence of "j1299" as a route of motorized travell. It clearly shows that it did not connect to powerline or Bowen Ranch Road. Motorized route designation within the Juniper Flats ACEC was completed and signed in 1988. WEMO route designation does not include ACECs as the management plans are independent. The only route approved for motorized use within the ACEC are designated in that management plan you have been quoting from girlfriend.
So we have to wonder Katrina, why do you continue to behave like this illegal motorcycle trail is a legal route of travell. Its creation and continued use violates the whole premise of the ACEC management plan.
