The pile-up did delay the arrival of another news photographer doing a story on the Juniper Flats area. The reporter proceded with the interview without him and as I was leaving the Village, the picture dude showed up. Not wanting to miss another oppertunity to go hiking, we went out into the ACEC to document photographs for the article. No evidence of any fence repair has been done by the BLM yet. Nor is there anything indicating to the public that the trail through the archeological area is closed to motorized use. Wherever ol Harold Johnson was when he experienced "tire damage" (take note Katrina) it is evident that no fence repair has been done in the critical areas. The BLM receives funding to ensure protection of the cultural area.....where has the money gone?
