Those cattle will most likely be back in the Juniper Flats area. This link and information that I provided you with is where you and other interested citizens could have more of an impact on your local area. The decision reached by the EIR and the BLM concerning continued cattle grazing will be the policy the BLM use in the future for all cattle grazing rights, including Juniper Flats.

In addition, both you and Mojavegreen have not expressed much interest in holding the BLM's feet to the fire as to their past management plans and that fact that they have not done their job. If the BLM would put up the appropriate fences as they received money for both in 1994 and during the Willow Fire, the dispute you are having today would have been minimized. The gravel caps that didn't get done. The monthly monitoring that they were paid to do. All of your concerns today were the purpose of for creating the ACEC in the first place. The problem is that the BLM did not perform as per their management plan.

What if the BLM were to have that cable fence in place? The BLM mentioned in the ACEC plan that the weight of the cattle stepping on the artifacts were of concern. What if the BLM had erected a fence to the south of the sensitive cottonwood springs area to keep the cattle completely out of the area? What if the BLM had placed those gravel caps?

What if the cattle were managed appropriately where they were prevented from destroying the natural water resources, steppiing on the cultural artifacts and were provided separate water troughs?

From what I understand, the cattle are seen as lowering the fire dangers due to overgrowth of brush and grass.
