Not only that when a road is to be closed or opened there is a public process that has to be followed under NEPA. This road was an open and legal road that could not be legally closed without going through this process.
The road was closed through illegal and violent means. There were actual Federal crimes committed in the closing of this road and subsequent lies to Congressman Lewis by the BLM. The same cast of characters are involved (as with J1299) mostly Mike Castro and Ranger Nelson.
My main concern is that members of the public are provided reasonable and safe access to Deep Creek Hot Springs. Right now, if the person's vehicle can not make it down the rough route around, the person has no choice but to access through the Bowen Ranch and pay the $4.00 per person.
