DCHS does not support illegal OHV use in recreational areas. Vehicles, motorcycles and horses should remain on open trails and routes of travel.
However, Katrina is not convinced that J1299 suddenly appeared after the Willow Fire and was created by illegal OHV use. Katrina has been told by other recreational users that J1299 has been a trail for a long time. In order to determine whether this is the case or not, Katrina would want to review any maps that the BLM has on trails in the area and would want to talk to others who know the area and others who may have used this trail.
DCHS does not require that people who are associated with DCHS agree with all of our viewpoints. We see these various viewpoints as the democratic process needed for the best results.
